Activities in Finland
Safe Corner works with immigrants in Finland, focusing on social support for well-being, equal opportunities, and integration. The target group is young immigrant girls and women, and the vulnerable population living in Vaasa. One of our organized monthly activities, Meidän-EmpowerHer, takes place in Palosaari. Soon, we will start the SDSPG training and NIGEANTI projects. We also organise smaller-scale activities, such as group activities focusing on mother-daughter interaction.

Sharing Cafe
The new project by Safe Corner initiative is designed to support immigrant women in Vaasa, who are currently outside the workforce and facing challenges in finding employment. The activities would consist of monthly open and close individual counselling sessions.
Meidän-EmpowerHer
The Meidän-EmpowerHer activity is a progression of the long-term Safe Corner work as an equal opportunity and inclusion intervention for the well-being of immigrants and their families through monthly peer groups.
NIGEANTI
The NIGEANTI project focuses on the everyday challenges faced by Nigerian and other immigrant teenagers living in a multicultural environment. The project also involves the supporting of interaction between these teenagers, their parents and having a balanced school life.
Safe Corner offers customised courses and lectures for students and professionals in their respective fields.
